Beervana is the sublime state of happiness while drinking a beer.
Did you know that beer is the oldest recorded recipe in the world dating from 5,000 B.C.E. Egypt? And historians believe beer originated in Mesopotamia around 10,000 B.C.E. It’s true! Over time, recipes have been adopted by other areas and improved using regional fruits and grains. We are pretty sure Egyptian beer tasted nothing like an Irish Guinness. But enough of the history lesson….
Country Meadows Village is hosting our annual beer tasting event 3 p.m., Friday, March 13th where residents and guests will taste different beers while enjoying all things Irish. Renowned fiddler Katie Jane will play Celtic fiddle tunes to set the tone for a beerlicious afternoon.
Guests 21 and older are invited to attend the free event and besides beer and music, small bites will be available along with door prizes in our decorated activity center. It’s the perfect time to enjoy an afternoon with other beer lovers and share a drink. Plus, if you’ve ever been interested in how retirement living can enrich your life, stop by, enjoy beer tasting and meet our residents who will tell you about Country Meadows Village.
Our beer tasting event is just one of the many fun activities we offer at Country Meadows Village. From health seminars, movie night and concerts we look forward to our events calendar and our community of golden residents.
