Hearts of Hope at Country Meadows Village
All our hearts are a bit heavy with the news surrounding the coronavirus, but at Country Meadows Village, we are working through our worries to brighten the days of our beloved residents.
We have joined the worldwide “Hearts in the Window” movement by placing creative hearts in the windows around our community for outside residents to see, and for our residents to look out their windows and share their love. These hearts are our message of hope! We want the world to know that we are doing okay and hope these hearts in our windows will bring a smile to someone’s face.
Sharing joy is what we do here at Country Meadows Village and right now it just looks a little different; right now, it looks like love in the windows. Our residents are going strong! Our staff has been amazed at their patience, understanding and strength as we learn how to bring them the amenities they are used to within the new policies. They have started a buddy system of checking with each other and taken to meeting each other outside in the sun where they can properly distance. The daily trivia and puzzles that come to their door each day have been a great success. Plus, our residents are utilizing the “take and make” arts and crafts projects we have organized for them and our community is flooded with gorgeous, brightly colored tulips from Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm. And keep an eye out for our balcony friendly concerts that are coming up!
Sure, right now can be overwhelming, but our residents are finding joy and happiness which is heartwarming for us all.
