In a seller’s market, consider Country Meadows Village
You may have read about the remarkable real estate market lately: historically low interest rates, little inventory and big pay outs for sellers. Indeed, in many areas around Oregon, homes are selling in bidding wars at way over asking price.
If you are a senior, it might be beneficial to consider your options during this bubble.
“Right now, it’s a seller’s market because we have less inventory. Take Woodburn for example, we have very little inventory of houses, so when one does hit the market, it sells immediately and the seller is able to set a high list price,” Gina Audritsh, real estate broker with Hallmark Realty said. “And because interest rates are incredibly low, people are wanting to buy. We are seeing people moving out of Portland or out of state, and into more rural areas like Woodburn. These buyers have cash to spend.”
Audritsh, whose mother loves living at Country Meadows Village, says currently, interest rates are between 2.9-3.4% making the cost to borrow money cheap.
“We understand the importance of seniors transitioning into independent and assisted living and how hard many seniors have worked for their homes. Why not get top dollar for it? We can provide flexibility with commission rates, too,” she said.
Remember: you are in control of your home, your life and your decisions. Now just might be a perfect time to consider what everyone here at Country Meadows Village knows: Community living is fun! It’s wonderful to eat delicious foods every day dining with other residents, an events calendar filled with activities, the carefreeness of enjoying a yard without maintaining it or appreciating a clean home without cleaning it and the safety of knowing others are here if you need help.
